Frequently Asked Questions
Guides are the core pages on HAZ. These pages describe trails, hikes, and other outdoor-modes of adventure.
  • Trails are typically numbered by the managing agency. Trails should be listed one-way if they are part of a network of trails where others can then create their own hikes.
  • Hikes are usually round-trip if not a shuttle. A loop involving multiple trails is a hike. An off-trail adventure would be a hike too.
Look for +Add at the top of any page, click, then select Publish a Guide
Linking photos within a new guide is often helpful but not required.

Before Guide Publishes
A photoset may be posted generic-named before the guide exists.
When the guide is published, you may rename the photoset from generic to guide-based if desired.

Simultaneous Rarely utilized but works like a charm
If you have an exactly named photoset in the upload queue and have linked to these photos in a submitted guide. The photoset will auto "finish" and post with the guide.

After Guide Publishes
Link photos via edit after the guide is published.
