being in German country (known as Hill Country) of Texas, in this case Fredericksburg, we tried a couple German beers including a couple different Bocks. I preferred last nite's Spaten Optimator where we had Jaeger Schnitzel.

A beer is classified as a bock due to its strong, malty character, typical of a lager brewed with lager yeast and often featuring a high alcohol content (around 6-8% ABV). Bocks are known for their rich malt flavors, often including toasty, bread-like notes, and can range in color from dark amber to brown. The "lagering" process, a long period of cold conditioning, also contributes to the smooth, clean flavor profile of bocks.
