Deer! We saw eight muledeer very close to the Mam-Ah-Gah Picnic Area where the local Tohono O'odham tribe holds their Deer Ceremony. A good omen, I'd say. The herd of deer was made up of six does and two fawns. Just look at those ears! They were wary of us but knew they were safe, and they picked their way down to the trail less than 20 feet behind us with little hesitation. Beautiful, healthy creatures.
