A view back higher along the boulder hopping scramble called the Powerline Arizona Trail from high atop the Mogollon Rim towards Washington Park Trailhead. Most of the 1200 feet lower happens in the first mile! The children would have mutinied me had we done this part of the Arizona Trail in a northbound direction! One of the best parts of Segment Hiking the AZT is we get to choose which way we are going to tackle the task!
