A gnarly lone Alligator Juniper Tree along the road to Sycamore Point. A deer hunter I encountered called these cedars which is a common name given to them by southwestern locals. The fresh cut wood of these trees even has a cedar smell but the blue-grey berry like cones positively identify them as a member of the Juniper family.
