The Two Medicine Valley has a special significance for the Blackfeet Nation. This beautiful mountain was named for Sinopah the daughter of Lone Walker, a great Blackfeet Chief. She was married to Hugh Monroe, who was given the Blackfeet name Rising Wolf. Lone Walker Mountain and Rising Wolf Mountain are near Sinopah Mountain. The name “Sinopah” means “Fox Woman” in the Blackfeet language.
