A quarter mile from Bear Spring I heard a branch break. Figured it was a bear. Got excited. What better place to be killed by a bear! Turned out to be a skittle of about ten Coatimundi. 4 in the tree, 2 running left and 4 running right. Most impressive was the two running left across the trail. They were huge, larger than kit foxes but with the signature snout face and monkey tail. Weird thing is, the only one I managed to capture in the tree looks like a nightmare fox with a human face.
