They're engine wasn't hot and I was moving slow. Crossing the creek near the Fireline Junction I heard them but didn't see 'em. Figured a 2 inch diameter tree laying down - blocking the already difficult to understand crossing misdirected 'em. Then saw 'em leaving the North Orchard. No response to my arm raised windshield wiper wave thirty yards out.
