Some of the pictures I ended up taking home as the owner has changed and doesn't have the same passion for selling these already low-priced items including some Russell reproductions and Lindneaux giclees. Robert Lindneaux was partially responsible for getting CM Russell to use more color in his paintings. The upper right piece is by Larry Greenwalt, an Iowa artist my mom supported in her gallery in Montana and Scottsdale back in the 70s and 80s.

If you watch old westerns, many times you will see Russell paintings/reproductions in the scenes. His work is pretty recognizable once you are somewhat familiar with it. There is a particular 1909 painting of a cowboy looking back down to Fort Benton and the Missouri River, where I was born. It's called The Wagon Boss. You will see that one a lot on the western tv shows. I just found out it was gifted to the Gilcrease Museum in 1955, the year I was born. How 'bout that. https://collections.gilcrease.org/object/01900
