Where the deer and antelope play. There were so many antelope. We counted 13 on our trip from the farm to town 23 miles. You do have to be careful driving this highway 223 between Fort Benton and Chester.
The fawn we spotted behind a rock, it's a new born. We climbed up to where it was. Momma was nowhere to be seen. In the top photo left, one of these deer is injured; I told my cousins as I hate to see it suffer. Not sure if they can do anything about it other than shoot it so it won't suffer.
Almost all of these critters are on Romain land except for the deer in the lower right were on our way to the Snake River outside of Lewiston ID.
We also saw: two eagles on our drive to MT, two owls at my cousin Steven's place, a fox near the runway at the homestead, a pheasant and lots of other birds including red wing black birds and various hawks.
