The original homestead built in 1914 or so is on the right. There are three little ones and my grandparents. We still have that homestead house (picture later in the photoset). The top house they lived in until 1927 when they finished it completely (bottom left photo). As you can see, NO trees or even bushes for that matter. But that would change quickly as my Grandmother had a green thumb and they had built a well to water her extensive garden. You can see she already had the Virginia Creeper up and at 'em. The big house included a walk-in cooler and an elevator to the downstairs storage area. I remember riding on it when I was young.
