Lee and his dogs blundered almost within striking distance of these 2 mating Diamondbacks. A third one was only a few feet away. He quickly grabbed the dogs collars and drug them out of range. They gave very little warning. He would encounter a fourth snake at close range about 20 minutes later that didn't give any warning. We avoided walking in thick cover after that staying to old road beds as much as possible.
