We are on the Hamakua Coast. We just went by a public park, Kukuihaele, on this side of Waipio Valley. It's a bit of a back road to get back to the Hawai'i Belt Road toward Hilo. Anyway, it's a stark contrast from driving on the highway by the ocean coming out of Kona. See photo 1 in this photoset.
