Lots of freight being transported alongside Highway 2 and via the Park from the west coast. A nice backdrop with Glacier's Rocky Mountains. And, of course, like other states, the railroad was responsible for the development of Montana as well. We used to have two railroads but the other one closed down in the early 1980s. I worked for a law firm in Great Falls that tried to stop the Milwaukee RR from leaving but without success. However, it was a fascinating project to work on.
