I use notebooks to write down my favorite photo numbers etc (see last photo) and I was using an old notebook (I've had many notebooks through the decades). I stumbled across these pages that had numbers which are from the mid-80s. What are they you ask? This is how we used to have to keep track of prices/money before computers.

These are the actual trades I did during that time frame in 1986; looks like we made a profit.
Margin calls were the scariest thing for me. In fact, one time I got left with a huge call per a feedlot owner but fortunately, he paid me off first (as he had a few calls with other brokers as well) since he had done cattle business with my grandfather. Needless to say, I was glad about that.
