There were a number of good reasons to stop to take in the excellent short and long distance views on this trail hike.
The FR442 in pic center distance is the final road approach that ends at this Park/TH Start for TR #42.
The ridge and bench in pic center is the one that this TR #42 climbs and switchbacks up.
