Headed out with Bob and Joe around 1:00am to hike down South Kaibab,and up Bright Angel.We got there just in time to catch the 4:30 shuttle and hit the trail around 4:40. Enjoyed the views on the way down and meet up with Bob across the Black bridge at 6:40. The Colorado was green not milky brown like at Toltec beach when I saw it last. The flow from Bright Angel Creek was substantial. We went over to check out Phantom Ranch(Haven't been here since the 80's) and look around before headed up Bright Angel. Bob's pace was a little to fast for me. Joe hung back with me. Enjoyed all the views and water running on the way up to Indian Gardens and ate lunch there. Joe got his second wind but in a couple miles I hit a wall and got some leg cramps.OUCH. Worked them out in fifteen minute or so. Joe offered to carry my pack the last couple miles but my pride wouldn't let him

). Hit the top at 12:25. A lot to take in, in one day but worth it. Thanks to Bob for driving. Always a great time hiking with Bob and Joe!
