| no partners | | I wanted to crank out some more miles, so I did this with Mesa Trail to connect the dots. Hint hint, these trails are popular with bikers. According to Dead Horse Ranch SP, Raptor Hill and Thumper trails lie within Coconino Nat'l Forest, but I can't find any other affiliation.
Raptor Hill has a really cool creosote forest blanketed with crypto. There was another large batch of creosote along Thumper. If it were raining, these trails would be incredible. Notable views include Tuzigoot ruins, Woodchute/Mingus, Jerome, and Rattlesnake Wash if you take the side trip to the vague overlook.
Mesa Trail was only included because I didn't want to walk along the roads in the park. I added the little lasso atop the mesa for grins and giggles. |
