| no partners | | Took this hike while on a rafting trip with O.A.R.S. Started at the Colorado River and hiked up along the creek to an area called the throne room. There's a nice waterfall there which is the source of deer creek. After a nice lunch we headed back down and soaked in 140' deer creek falls. Im not sure of the exact mileage there and back, but estimate it to be about 4-5 miles roundtrip. This was a great, short hike through the tapeats sandstone, which, when carved by the water makes for some great layering. Various pools are available to soak your feet or more depending on the weather. |
