| no partners | | This was another compromize hike. I intended to hike all the way to Pika Lake. My wife was only willing to hike to Barney Lake. Her sister joined us so I figured that my wife could get a ride back to our condo from her sister if need be.
My wife was still pretty set on me going to Barney Lake, but I talked her in to letting me go up to a good view point just beyond the top of Duck Pass. I climbed quickly - too quickly. By the time I got to the top of the pass I legs were hurting. Fortunately, I got over this pretty quickly. The remainder of the hike was pretty much all downhill, so I was fine. I caught up to my wife and sister-in-law just past Barney Lake. It turns out that they hung out at Barney the whole time I was gone.
There were lots of columbine up on the pass. |
