| no partners | | This was my 2nd "arch" trail. Very much worth the hike and the rather rough drive in. Very nice views from on top of the arch, and even a spot or two before the arch. Trail was easy to navigate and was rather busy. I took the trail up to the top right off, went across, stopping to take a few pictures, then found the way down on the far side. Coming down the ravine on the far side brought me up from the bottom with really cool views, and a very good sense of how tall it actually is. T-storms building above the rim as a backdrop to the red rock wilderness made for nice pictures. Found a geocache on the way back to the truck, and then on down FR152 to vultee arch trail.  |
