| no partners | | | Finally getting around to reporting on my favorite hike in the Superstitions. My third time up, and each has been very rewarding, although a killer on the body. This time I had my staples along, frozen bottle of gatorade, lunch for the top, and of course a camera. Nothing unusual to report on the way up - ran into a number of hikers. One group of young guys, one of which was carrying a semi-automatic rifle, which was a bit odd but they seemed okay. Took one of my favorite pictures of Siphon Draw. Spent an hour on the top looking out over the East Valley and then took myself with my rubbery legs back down to the car. When you finish this hike, you feel you have accomplished something, something not everybody will have the privilege to experience. |
