| no partners | | I struck out snake hunting yesterday, so I need to redeem myself. Today is Cinco de Mayo, which means nothing to me. It seems strange to me to celebrate a war victory of a country that I do not belong to that killed thousands of people, causing environmental damage. But hey, what do I know? If you're looking for an excuse to drink, just look at your kids' report card.
Anyway, I'm trying to record my field notes of when I see snakes and other critters. Also, I have a friend coming from NY that I'm guiding, so I'm scoping out some spots for him. I'll probably hit Joshua Tree National Park again this weekend before it gets too crowded, and too hot. I saw 2 snakes today, but I don't think they'll be there when the weather gets over a 100 on a consistent basis.
