| partners | | After finishing up our three day backpack in the Eastern Blue Range at the Lamphier Canyon trailhead, Karl and I checked out a mile of S Canyon trail while John and Chumley enjoyed a beverage.
The section near the Blue River was nice and also the only water you will encounter on the hike according to two backpackers who we met on the trail. There are some great views of the Blue and the surrounding ranches as you climb, but it's a warm trail. Conditions for the rest of trail were reported as rugged but easy to follow. The first mile of trail was great, but it would be hard to pass up Lamphier in lieu of this trail in my opinion. |
