| no partners | | | Great way to spend Friday the 13th. Trail is steep but not as bad as I thought it would be. I have a bad knee and I was really surprised how well it did. Great views of the East Valley. There were a lot of little people on the trail today. I think it's because it's fall break. Haven't been to Piestewa Peak in many years but I would say the traffic is similar to the way it was back then. I was a little surprised because there is a loop trail in this same park that I do pretty often that doesn't have anywhere close to this much traffic. There were a lot of bees at the top when we got to the cave. My friend who has hiked this trail before said this is common. We really enjoyed this hike and we'll keep it on the list. |
