| no partners | | I took a break in the middle of our 3rd day of backpacking to summit Truchas Peak. At 13,102 feet, it's the second highest point in New Mexico, and reliable sources tell me it's better than the highest one.
Regardless of elevation or rank, this was an enjoyable peak with outstanding views in all directions. If we had been on our original itinerary, I would have liked to cut over to Middle and North Truchas too, but those will have to wait for next time, because I'd definitely do this one again! |
