| no partners | | Back to the Maroon Bells for another excellent loop crossing three 12,500' passes. Went counter-clockwise: south along Snowmass Creek on Maroon-Snowmass Trail #1975 past Snowmass Lake then over Buckskin Pass > Maroon/Willow Lakes #1978 over Willow Pass > back north on East Snowmass #1977 over East Snowmass Pass. A very short road walk joins the two trailheads. I thought this loop was just as enjoyable as the nearby 4-pass loop.
Nice to reach 1 million feet of accumlated elevation logged on HAZ, to go along with the 5,000 miles reached earlier this year. |
