| no partners | | | I went up on the Mesa with some friends this weekend and we went on a trek around Mesa Lake and on towards Lost Lake. Everyone else was on snow shoes. I opted for my skis. This was a mistake. This is a well traveled snowshoe trail but it is not designed for cross-country skiing. Next time I'll do it in snowshoes if there's still snow on the ground. We turned around before we got to Lost Lake because a storm was approaching; by the time we got back to the cabin a blizzard was starting. Sad we couldn't make it to Lost Lake, but glad we made the right choice. |
