| no partners | | | Interesting day. Walked right by a trail sign that was partially hidden by a bush and ended up missing the intended hike and doing a different hike along some old jeep or mining roads. Found these very interesting mines and climbed around in them a bit, all the time wondering what anyone could have been pulling out of them. Got home and did some research... apparently, they were asbestos mines... I hate it when that happens :-( ... I did however, trip across the interesting rock pictured with this photo set, which first caught my attention as it protruded from the ground and at first glance, resembled a vertebrae. (had a great dinner at Antlers Restaurant in Young!) |
