We started a bit after 4pm and decided not to go all the way to the trailhead. We turned around and on the way down we could hear bugling. We saw a few elk. Despite heavy rains the day prior, only the bottom of the hike was muddy. Mainly ponderosa pines, juniper and oak trees ( a few alligator junipers). |
