Couple of new birds for the label finder.
Red-headed Woodpecker has only been recorded about 10 times in AZ - and this one is a super easy drive-up bird, in case anyone is interested ... it was literally the first bird I saw when I rolled up to the stakeout spot.
Then I continued on to Cave Creek Ranch for some easy Evening Grosbeaks - the birds that had sent me on a 65 mile, 3+ hour long dirt road adventure the day before, and then I didn't even find them. I only saw females at CCR, but it's still a lifer - and I still have the males to look forward to someday. I also had the whole place to myself for an hour - which never happens - and had a great time seeing 30 different kinds of birds, plus deer and a coati.
