| partners | | This hike may fly under the radar. There’s spectacular scenery, crazy interesting geology and views.
This a mesa top hike from the South Narrows Picnic Area to the Ventana Natural Arch Overlook.
Lava beds, pine, juniper and oak, plus today quite a nice wildflower display too.
The trail may require some route finding in the rocky segments. What this hike lacks in AEG it makes up with a sandy trailbed most of the hike.
The payoff is the Ventana overlook, much, better than going to the Arch parking area for viewing. |
