Met up with my riding buddies Carey and Dan to hit some trails and canals from Horizon Park on Thompson Peak Parkway in North Scottsdale. From Horizon Park we jumped on the Maricopa trail along the CAP canal. Followed that through West World to Cactus and FLW. Found Float Trail off FLW, which doesn't appear to see much traffic at its northern terminus, followed Float down to Shea. West on Shea to Indian Bend Wash Path. South to Indian Bend with a stop by the Horse Sculptures. Continued a little further south until we decided it was hot and turned back. Took a slightly more direct route along the Maricopa Trail and neighborhood bike paths. Post ride treats at Blackrock Coffee on Thompson Peak.
