Busy morning. I slept in today thinking that I would not see as many snakes as I did yesterday. I was wrong.

I hit the desert around 4am. Within 10 minutes, I found my first baby longnosed snake in some rocks. I give it water and walked with it to find a good place to photograph it and saw another baby longnosed snake. I photographed them together to save space on my memory card. It wasn't a good photo, but I had to keep moving.

Later, I found a juvenile night snake. It didn't drink any water, but I walked with it to see if there was another snake in the area. I found another baby long-nosed snake, so I decide to photograph them together. The longnosed drank some of my water and was calm, but the night snake was on the move and didn't want to pose for you guys.

I saw a few more baby snakes and my first baby coachwhip of the morning, who posed nicely on the bush.

After that, I found 2 coachwhip within a feet of each other. I assumed that they were related. They drank some water and calmed down, so I was able to walk down the wash a bit to see if there were any other snakes. I found 3 more baby longnosed snakes and a baby patchnosed snake. I didn't want to be late for work, so I had to photograph them together. Everyone was on board with the group photo, except the patchnosed snake. It took a lot of "encouragement" to get it in the photo. I was able to pull off a sextuple snake photo.

On the way back, I found two more baby longnosed snakes, totaling 17 snakes. The last snake was injured. It looked like a rodent chewed on its tail. :( I was also late for work.
