Third year in a row to go see the four legged furballs out at Lake Pleasant. If you bring carrots with you this hike can easily turn into a petting zoo with a short hike attached. Saw only 7 burros this trip but that was enough to clean me out of the bag of carrots I brought.

Great views of the Hieroglyphic Mountains at the northern terminus of the trail. I have to get back out here to do the Walking Jim Trail again when my knee is better. I see the doc on Monday for a hyaluronic acid gel injection which hopefully will do the trick.

Great weather and temps, but the lake levels are so low as to be disturbing. :( Saw several groups of tourists heading out in the heat as I was finishing up. Most had no hats or water.
