#16 of 50 hikes. This was a fun one because my husband came with me. I've done this trail several times last year, but this was his first time! Adams Canyon Trail is located near Layton, Utah and follows along a creek with a rewarding waterfall at the end. It was a chilly, but sunny morning and we had a good time hiking together. Near the end the trail had some icy parts and the waterfall had some ice too. On different hikes, GPS has recorded different mileage. I've gotten 3.6 miles and 3.75 miles, this time is was 4.0 miles. The trail was the same on all occasions. Weird.

I've hiked this trail several times because of the convenient location to home. It connects with the popular Bonneville Shoreline Trail that is used for trail running, biking, and horseback riding. It's a moderate, sometimes difficult, hike with a spectacular waterfall at the end. In spite of that, I see many families with small children on the trail. In fact, back in July, there was even a wedding at the waterfall!
This particular day my daughter, and her dog Kismet, and son joined me. We had fun enjoying the trail and stream which gave me plenty of photo opportunities! Sadly, it ended with Kismet having a seizure about 100 yards before the end. A gracious fellow hiker helped us carry him the rest of the way. Don't worry, my daughter's faithful companion has recovered and is doing well!
