Another short hike after the Upheaval Dome and Whale Rock. This is a short hike that leads to the top of a butte that was once occupied by Indians as a defensive position. The other butte that is just off this trail has a grainery on the west facing slope. Easy trails to follow but the climb up to Aztec Butte is steep, luckily it is short. Great views to the north from the top of the butte.
