Main Trail - Muir Woods NM
Matt Davis Trail to Stinson Beach

Excellent figure-8 route starting at Stinson Beach (good parking just south of Stinson Beach at the bottom of the Panorama Highway), up and over the ridge to vist Muir Woods (avoiding the reservations and fees) and back. Took Dipsea - Steep Ravine - Matt Davis trails on the ocean side, Ben Johnson - MWNM boardwalks - Dipsea on the other side, Stapelveldt to connect.

What a nice hike for a first date. Lots of people as usual, and muggy as usual. It feels good to get back out on the trail.

Since it's my last weekend in the bay area (that's right, moving back to AZ next week!), I wanted to hike this classic in the Marin Headlands. It did not disappoint! I think I chose the right direction of travel, taking in the coastal views down the Dipsea and enjoying the shade and climb back up Steep Ravine on the hottest day in SF this year. The day wasn't over just yet, I added on a few more miles after this one.
