| no partners | | This is a pleasant, easy hike. I had errands in town, so this was the hike of choice. The lake is a deep green color and there are lots of pretty trees and other vegetation around it. There were people fishing, but not crowds of them. There were enormous white pelicans, mostly over by the dam where no one is allowed to go. I also saw lots of coots and ducks.
The route finding for the trail was a bit of guesswork. However, it would be difficult to actually get lost.
No kayaking is allowed in these drinking water lakes. There is a quagga mussel infestation, also. But you can rent a boat there, with or without a motor.
I can row a boat. Canoe? |
