Short hike with Wyatt. Parked on the road just outside the trailhead. Despite all the vehicles, we only saw a few other hikers. Headed up the Mill B North trail to the Overlook. The sign at the bottom said it was a mile to the overlook, but it was really about 1.30 miles. The trail is in very good shape; it’s a steady uphill from the very start, but very few rocks. Easy hiking. Still some snow cover on about 10% of the trail, but nothing difficult. I imagine spikes were needed just a week or two ago though. At about 1.25 miles, there’s a sign for the overlook, with a short trail leading off to the right to the edge of the rocks. Great views, with lots of places to sit.

After that, we headed up the trail a little more, just to see what it was like. Quite a bit steeper, but still in good shape. Wyatt wanted to turn around after about another half mile or so. Heading back downhill was a breeze. At the trailhead, we made the very short side trip to Hidden Falls. The creek was high enough to cover the start of that trail, so we made a very steep detour through the rocks around that and then walked the couple hundred feet over to the falls.

Fun little hike with Wyatt. Cool weather, with a nice breeze and some clouds. Neither of these hikes have official guides or routes, so I’ll get both of those added once I’m back near a computer.
