Was on a 4-day road trip through AZ, NM, CO and UT with my Mom to celebrate her 80th birthday. She loves seeing the Southwest via windshield tours. A local mentioned this area to us the night before. This was a quick and easy stop for her to see some petroglyphs up close and personal. Impressive collection of work here.

Before leaving Bluff, we made our last UT stop at the Sand Island Petroglyph Panel. I wasn't aware that it was so big or had so many images. I haven't found many kokopellis in the wild, but the multitude of them here makes up for it. Some of the animal images remind me of the Procession Panel, which a determined viewer could probably reach in the same day.

There are some duplicate coverage in these pics, but we were trying to emphasize various things and I gave up trying to choose.

If we weren't leaving, we probably would have spent another hour or two looking at this spectacular array of glyphs.
