It was Wednesday, September 22, 2010 and the weather forecast was not good this day. There was a significant chance of rain and wind. My plan was to hike a 10 mile loop that would pass lakes Dog, Mary, Catherine, Twin Lakes and Silver Lake on a hike starting from the Lake Mary trailhead at the Brighton Ski resort. That plan was cut short after I reached Lake Mary and it started to rain. By the time I got half way back the rain turned into a significant hail storm so I'm glad I did turn back at that point. Ended the day with a 3.3 mile hike.

The good part about this day is the forecast for Thursday was spectacular with totally clear weather and cooler temps. And this was the day I planned on doing the feature hike of the week, the big Cahuna, Mount Timpanogos (or simply Timp as the locals would call it).
