#21 of 50 hikes. Day Two of Three with my co-workers, David and Jon. We drove out in the middle of Nowhere, Desert. The surrounding area was called Circle Cliffs and we backpacked into a slot canyon adequately named Little Death Hollow. Good name. It was difficult but so, so, so rewarding. We saw petroglyphs along the trail, the sights were unbelievable, and the slot canyon was astounding! Definitely start in the early morning, avoid if there's a chance of rain, and be ready to be dazzled! We had to climb down, crawl under, and squeeze through many areas and it felt like a mini obstacle course. We hoped there would be potable water once we got out and reached Horse Canyon, but there wasn't, so we had to continue another 2.75 miles to Escalante River and camped there. This hike was more than memorable. I absolutely loved it! I actually dropped my phone once and it powered off. I was nervous that Route Scout stopped, but once I got it back on, it had kept going! Good job Route Scout!!

Part of a backpack with neighboring Wolverine canyon. I went up from below as the best narrows are in the last part of the canyon. The light was right and there are some nice colors and bedding planes in the sandstone to be had photographically. The canyon was totally dry. I was able to go under 3 major chokestones and climb over or around the rest no problem. One place I did have to get on my stomach but hey that's par for the course for a caver. I really enjoyed just pacing myself and chasing the light.
