Spent the night at Big Pine Creek campground the night before, which was delightful

Took off to perfect blue skies. Was really looking forward to this hike and man did it deliver. I first did lakes 1,2,3 and 5 which were all just stunning. spent some time at each one. From there i did the short spur to Summit Lake on my way to lake 6. came back down to lake 4 which had so much water in it, it had spilled onto the trail and i laughed as i watched a large healthy looking trout leisurely swimming along the trail  . hit black lake last. coming down this way gave a great overhead view of lakes 1 and 2. once back on the main route it was just a leisurely jaunt back to the TH. i thoroughly loved every minute of this day
