Stunning beauty... This is classic backcountry San Carlos. What an incredible place to experience in person. Destinations like this are so much more then what is seen. It has a feel to it. It's just so wild and unspoiled. I was immediately greeted with fresh bear scat upon reaching the bottom. I'm definitely not alone. Crystal clear water gently works it's way through the canyon. Large pools along the route held minnows and small fish to my surprise from light perennial flow. It's deathly quiet in places along the route. It's almost unsettling at times. The overall experience is magical. I can't help but wonder what else is yet to be discovered down in there. I've only scratched the surface. The adventure of the unknown. I love it.
