alas and alack... a lack of transportation that is! Car broke down 15 miles out of Alamo after an already later start, so, new plan! Head out early in the morning for the much closer but more difficult trek up Sierra Blanca, our local high peak. That will kick off the planned week of longer hikes and trail runs... just here in our local Lincoln National Forest, which at the minute is getting blessed with rain!!!

My week may not fully match the planned outings, but I'll at least support the other hikers. The HAPE incident in Hawaii appears to be having residual effects. I'm looking forward to seeing how high I can go tomorrow... or not.

It's all good... life's a w'itch... and then you die!

A nice way to spend a less strenuous day in and around the Carson NF-"Wheeler Peak Wilderness".

Our total 139 mile scenic loop drive included a 7.9ml round trip hike on the "East Fork TR & Sawmill Park TR" with five additional stops along this driving route as described in the hike description.
