The waterfalls were raging, the wildflowers put on the best show I've seen on El Diablo, and the crowds were out in force. Dealing with lots of people on a hike is annoying on one hand, but it's more than counteracted by the heartening fact that more and more people are becoming fans of low impact outdoor recreation. I'm sure the homeowners on Regency Drive aren't fans of having their street turned into a huge parking lot during wildflower season. Today had the absolutely perfect combination of blue sky, not being cold, the trails being dry, the wildflowers doing their thang, and the waterfalls going nuts. |

Wildflowers Observation Extreme Ridiculous. See pictures for more. The poppies have only just started to get going, and in only a few spots. This is going to be a special year in Northern California. |
