Sunny for the hike down. Saw a kid in a truck leaving right after I started in, and a truck from Colorado shortly after, but no one else the entire time. I liked hiking this more than I expected, mostly due to the pine forest. It was still cloudy on the horizon, so I never had great distance views. I think if you are willing to do the Navajo NM hikes and Black Mesa, you ought to consider this one, too. Camp on the road and in and make a trip out of it. |
