After doing this hike I find it comical that Google Maps considers this a road you could drive on. Not a chance! This road is so torn up I had a tough time finding it. It's that unrecognizable. Once you're on it, it's a gradual uphill to the mining area. There are several mines and prospects worth checking out. The hoistroom is quite impressive, so is the incredibly deep shaft next to it. I dropped a rock down the shaft to test its depth. Let's just say I was thankful for the steel grate covering the top.
