Spent about 3 days in Joshua Tree National Park. Great trip! Found a bighorn sheep skull, chuckwallas, and a California Treefrog (lifer for me). Car camping with dayhikes. Hikes included,
Lost Palms Oasis
Stubbe Springs Loop
Ryan Mountain Summit
with others.
I absolutely am in love with this park.

Camped overnight in my favorite national park, Joshua Tree. Hiked to a little known slot canyon twice. It was really nice. The park was deserted. And the slot canyon was amazing, flowing through smooth white granite rocks. One the second trip to the slot canyon ran into a family of Bighorn Sheep!!! This was my first time ever encountering them in the wild. JTNP is amazing, I've been there so many times and everytime I go there I still see something totally new that I've never seen before, whether that be a type of animal, or a new area. Im hoping to maybe head back in the spring and hike the entire length of the CA Riding and Hiking trail through the park in 2-3 days. Need to find at least one other person so we can set up a shuttle.
